Computer Repair:

You really have to look at my Services page to see what I do for you with your own computer and hardware. I take that thing that just won't behave, get rid of the popups, the viruses, the spyware, that 1-800 toolbar on your browser that you did not ask for and won't go away, and make it all right again. I scour the system for bad stuff and remove it, check the disks for errors and repair them, check the OS and repair it, check your data and back it up and restore it if necessary. I will even come to you if you are close and pick up and deliver your hardware, just give me a call and let me do all of the work for you. You will be glad you did, this is a one stop shop and you get soup to nuts.

Computers:

Computers are upgraded or built here at paulspcworks.com to meet your specifications or budget or both. Typical upgrades are install more RAM to stop the hard disk light from flashing constantly and the hourglass from appearing every time you switch from one thing to another or try to do more than one or two things at once. Processor upgrades to a faster CPU if your motherboard allows for it. Install video card so that "real", 3D computer gaming is not only possible, but fun to play. Larger or more hard drive space so that you can hold tons of songs, movies, pictures, or whatever you want on your computer. Never worry about "running out of space" again. Install network cards for fast networking with your DSL or Cable Modem Broadband connection, either wireless or Ethernet wired. (Nothing is faster for home use than Gigabit Ethernet.) Install webcams for video conferencing with friends, family, and business associates (Requires broadband connection for optimum results.) or a TV card so that you can watch TV while at your computer in a resizable window or full screen and record your favorite programs.

Computers are also built to your budget and requirements. We discuss your needs and make a list of what you want, I get you prices and we trim and adjust until it is done just the way you like it, and then the building begins. This type of PC is commonly known as a "clone" and is one of the most versitile and popular PCs out there because they use off the shelf parts and are highly upgradable. When you buy a Dell, HP, Gateway, or Colpaq computer, you are pretty much "locked in" to their proprietory hardware that is expensive and extremely limited. Rather than just "throw in a high power video card" for killer PC gaming, you are restricted to expanding the onboard video graphics memory a small bit at ridiculously expensive prices and even this will cost as much as a premium video card, yet offers not even a fraction of the performance.

Wiring:

I work with other professionals that can wire your home or business professionally if you do not want to see wires at all. The cables can be run through walls, celings, attics, and some wireless services can be implemented to keep your home neat and cable free. These type of jobs generally can be quite costly though.

Websites:

Personal and small business websites are also available at Paul's PC Works. Big, flashy websites for business can cost a pretty penny but you need not go this route. Just having any presence on the web today is just about mandatory. In previous decades, you needed a product or a service and you looked in the yellow pages. Not anymore, the youth of today goes right for google, Yahoo, or any other popular search engine to look for their needs. They find "tailor" on the web in the next town over and they are gone, even though your tailor shop was right in town. Even "a single page" on the web is enough to get you on the search engines and let the public know you are out there. This is a great way to present your services and menu to the public. "What's the special at Vinnie's Restaurant? Spaghetti and Meatballs with salad and garlic bread $6.95". Great, I'm off to Vinnies!

Websites and domain names are not just for Disney, GM, and big business anymore, you can have one too at a surprisingly low cost for your business. At Paul's PC, we do all of the work for you. Create a small site, one or more pages, list your products and services, include photographs if wanted, get you a real domain like paulspcworks.com for your own business, get you a web host, and get your pages online. All pages will contain all of the necessary meta tags to insure that the correct search will reach your page rather than the competition. All that is required of you is to pay a small monthly hosting fee, usually paid by the quarter or yearly. I will set you up with the necessary software to edit your own pages for such things as menu, inventory, and "specials" changes, etc. Small business and personal web sites with everything included such as your own domain name, DNS, hosting, and page creation starts at $200.

Please Note: Getting listed on the major search engines like google and yahoo can take months or years. Your site will be submitted to all of the major search engines and then it is a matter of time before they show up on the search engines. I will include all of the necessary meta tags to insure fast and accurate listing for your web site.
